The company started in the middle of seventies under the name of "Gaviones Covadonga" and was located in the city of Caracas. At the beginning the company was manufacturing only and selling within the national market. Los gaviones are meshes that are used to build retaining walls.




By the end of 1977 "Gaviones Covadonga" stars making 4 inches nuts to seal ice bags. This production was started with a single measure machine. Later on the company bought some different measure machines to manufacture.




In 1978 the company starts manufacturing staples. Such staples are used to seal chicken packing bags. At the beginning the company also had one machine for this purpose.

This machine had to be rebuilt in order to manufacture staple number 110, also the company came to face another problem with the main material because this wire could not be found in the country.

Wit a Sample Brought from Valencia, they ran test to try to make the special wire. After a lot of testing without success they made it happen.

When the company goes into this market they realize that most of the poultry equipment are imports, so they decide to follow up into the subject to build this neumatic machines in the country.




In the middle eighties the company moved to "Las Minas" San Antonio de los Altos. It starts with the production of the pneumatic machines running test to adapt the machines to the hard treating conditions in the country. Obtaining a heavy duty machine.

The poultry plants bought machines considering they very efficient, strong , low in price and easy to get parts because all of that the machines have been very successful
.




Due to this success the company decided to built very updated equipment to increase their own production. At the end of nineties, the company was enlarged and move to " Figueroa" San Antonio de los Altos.




In 1998 we launched our own web page: www.grapas.com , and marked this as the beginning of exportations and importations of clips and clipping machines. By that time, the production was 45.000 clips a day. Now it is 1.200.000 to 1.400.000 clips daily covering the 80% of the national market and approximately 300 machines working.




At present we launched our new WEB SITE www.avinclips.com; with this we are trying to fortify communication with our clients and suppliers in the National and International market.
